Web Development Intern

Description:

Streamplate is building a health tracking app with personalised food ordering. We're finalising our iOS and Android app and are looking to build up our server team to help maintain and develop the codebase.

We're primarily using Python on Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. We use web-scraping to create our datasets of venues, menus and nutritional information and have approximately 2 million venues, 100 million menu items and 40 million nutritional profiles created.

Candidates are ideally proficient in React or competent in other frameworks enough that they can swiftly learn. Secondly, candidates should either be studying/recently graduated from an engineering or science discipline. Alternatively, candidates can demonstrate excellence via personal accomplishments. Note, this is an unpaid internship.

Our offices are based at the University of Sydney's Knowledge Hub. We're a team of approximately 20, with 10 full-time staff.
