Description:

As the Web Developer for the Complex Disease Research Group, you will be responsible for producing an interface for a scientific web tools, which will use genetic information to identify novel opportunities for personalised treatment. As part of the implementation, you will integrate the front-end interface with the back end genetic application. After successfully implemented you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance and improvements of the interface. This will include working with third parties and the lab group to add features that will ensure its long-term success.

This is a 12-month fixed term, full time position and is located at Callaghan.

How will you inspire us?

You will have a strong background in a technical field as a Web Developer, a Software Engineer or Data Analyst. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of the research group. Experience in a medical technology field, research or genomics is a preference, but not essential.

Your technical experience and skills will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Demonstrated expertise in HTML5, JavaScript, git and preferably python or R
  • Experience with production of data analytics dashboards in: R Shiny, Jupyter, tableau or PowerBI
  • Proven developing skills in web-based user interfaces and web tools
