Water & Sewer Trainee Position Description

Hay Shire is seeking the services of a person to assist with the day-to-day management and
operation of Council’s water and sewer operations while undertaken an apprenticeship in
Water and Wastewater Operations
The successful application will have the opportunity to achieve a nationally accredited
qualification and employable skills in water and wastewater operations.

Once the apprenticeship in water and sewer services is complete, the successful applicant
will have the opportunity to further their qualifications by completing a plumbing trade.

The position will be subject to a six-month probationary period and employment is subject to
satisfactory progress in the nominated course. Due to the nature of the work, successful
applicants will be required to become immunised for Hep A and Hep B.
