Ventia provide a range of Facilities Management services for Energy Queensland including property services, cleaning, grounds maintenance, general and statutory facilities maintenance and project management services for Non-Network Infrastructure and substations across the entire state of Queensland.

About the Role

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team the Operations Manager of the Energy Queensland contract is accountable for the successful delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services through a team of Facilities Manager, subcontractors and the Works Management centre. The role informs decisions on strategic asset management and enforces workplace health and safety requirements. This role will be based the EQL Brisbane (Newstead) office, with some occasional travel to sites required. This is a permanent, full time position.

Key Accountabilities include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Operational Management – planned and reactive maintenance delivery, site inspections, Works Management Centre
  • Subcontractor Management – accountable with on time delivery and quality of service, as well supporting negotiations.
  • KPI Management – planned and reactive maintenance and zero defect KPIs
  • Governance – management of budgets, internal and external reporting, supporting in risk/ change management activity
  • Supporting SHEQ compliance and improvements
  • Asset Management
  • Team Leadership
  • Stakeholder management – develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationship with EQL.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have significant experience in managing teams, as well as hard and soft facilities maintenance operations in a similar large scale, geographically dispersed organisations.

A strong knowledge of principles and practice of preventative maintenance, contract management, budgeting, procurement, and asset database management will be required.
Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Facilities Management or a related building construction field.
  • Current driver’s license
  • Comprehension of statutory maintenance requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement capability
  • Experience in dealing with the following ISO standards: 55001, 45001, 9001 and 140001
