This opportunity for a University Student sits within our dedicated Galleries Exhibition, Programs and Collection Team!

This team delivers the exhibition programs to Moreton Bay Regional Council’s (MBRC) three galleries - Caboolture Regional Art Gallery, Pine Rivers Art Gallery and Redcliffe Art Gallery.

We also manage MBRC’s art collection of over 1500 artworks and objects. In 2023, the Art Collection will be moving to a new facility.

The University Student role will work closely with the Collections Officer to support the move and set-up of the new facility along with supporting the day-to-day management of the Art Collection by providing administrative support and will be trained in the KeEmu Database to catalogue, research, and maintain up to date records on artworks in the collection.

About you

We’re looking for friendly, reliable and motivated individual who has a passion for all things collection related and is keen to kickstart their career and get involved in collection projects that our team are currently working on.

You will be an avid learner with a passion in your field of study and will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with well-developed communication and literacy skills.

As a University Student, you will be a valued team member who provides administrative and project support. You could find yourself working in an organisation in which your initiative and willingness to have a go will see you gain valuable skills which will complement the theory you're learning at university.

You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive training from an industry leader in a fast-paced environment, whilst gaining experience in a practical position within your own community.

You will be currently enrolled in relevant university studies and be available to work a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday to Friday), dependent upon your study needs.
