The opportunity

We are currently looking for an Underwriter to join our Workers Compensation team. As an Underwriter at QBE, you will be part of a successful and dynamic team spread across Australia, with the opportunity to grow and develop your insurance and underwriting career.

You will be responsible for running a profitable Workers Compensation portfolio, providing insights and expertise to your customers including underwriting and maintaining a renewal portfolio and new business as well as responding to quotes.

This strategic role will see you:

• Underwrite Workers Compensation risks, (renewals and quotes), and adhere to underwriting guidelines and standards
• Respond to customer queries and ensure tasks are managed in accordance with QBE and regulator performance standards
• Work effectively with the underwriting team and other internal stakeholders from Product, Claims, Sales and Relationship teams
• Maintain and build customer and partner relationships and provide insights into your portfolio
