The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Underwriter to join the Accident and Health team. As an Accident and Health Underwriter at QBE, you will be part of a dynamic team spread across Australia, we will provide you with the opportunity to grow and develop your Underwriting career.

You will be focusing on Accident Health products, consisting of:

  • Group Personal Accident
  • Individual Personal Accident
  • Expatriate
  • Inpatriate
  • Journey
  • Sport
  • Voluntary Workers


A day in the role will look a bit like this

  • Support day to day transactions and endorsements on key master policies
  • Support renewal and administration of schemes
  • Underwrite insurance risks across the Accident and Health product, adhering to underwriting guidelines and standards
  • Manage electronic referrals, renewal management and the processing of endorsements and amendments as requested
  • Ensure that tasks are managed in accordance with service level agreements
  • Work effectively within the underwriting team to convert quality business and achieve profitable growth
