Downer Rail & Transit Systems business has a wide portfolio of projects currently in delivery nationally. RTS leverages the in-house capabilities within Downer to offer integrated solutions covering rollingstock, infrastructure, rail systems, operations and maintenance, as well as system integration. We are currently seeking experienced Painters to join our team based in East Preston, Victoria Casual contract with ongoing day and afternoon shifts.

About The Role
 

• We are currently seeking two Painters to join our team.
• Ideal candidate must have Spray Painting Trade Qualifications.
• Must have automotive painting experience, 2 Pac, epoxy, body filler work, fiber glassing and masking experience.
• All application methods of protective coatings, conventional spray, airless spray, brush, and roller.
• Completion of surface preparation, mixing processes and paint application.
• Read and interpret drawings, work instructions and specifications.
• Proficient in safe storage and usage of solvents, chemicals, and paints.
• Apply quality systems and verify quality against compliance standards.
• Hands-on with the ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.
• A comprehensive understanding and commitment to upholding a ZERO Harm environment.
   

Ideally You Will Have
 

• Must have Spray Painting trade qualifications.
• EWP and forklift tickets - desirable but NOT essential.
• Heavy Industrial Maintenance or Rollingstock background
