The Training Lead will be responsible for developing process and procedures including delivering training sessions to SprayLine Road Services leadership and Operational staff. The lead will implement, review, and evaluate key training programs, including collection, analysis, and maintenance of data. Whilst also work in close collaboration with internal staff and leaders to understand their service delivery needs and responsibilities and identify major risk factors to delivery.

SprayLine Road Services is an internal delivery team within the Department of Transport providing road maintenance services, construction and associated civil works, bituminous spray sealing and line marking to DoT, other state road authorities, municipal councils, and private industry. SprayLine Road Services delivers services locally within the communities and are committed to ensuring quality, innovative and sustainable outcomes.

The Training Lead will be responsible for developing procedures and delivering training sessions to SprayLine Road Services leadership and operational staff.

  • Implement, review, and evaluate key training programs, including collection, analysis, and maintenance of data.
  • Work in close collaboration with internal staff and leaders to understand their service delivery needs and responsibilities and identify major risk factors to delivery.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver training sessions to SprayLine Road Services operational staff and leaders.
  • Deliver and assess professional development training, including Operational HSEQ & Risk Training.
  • Implement, review, and evaluate key training programs, including collection, analysis and maintenance of data.
  • Contribute subject matter expertise, knowledge and experience to the Foundations training and professional development training programs through facilitation and drafting of materials including relevant support guides.
  • Work in close collaboration with all SprayLine Road Services employees to understand their service delivery needs and responsibilities and identify risk factors within the operations.
  • Contribute to the design, development, sourcing of customised training programs aligned to overall business objectives.
  • Contribute to skills audits and needs analysis and identify critical skills gaps, by working closely with managers and staff, to address their issues.
  • Develop evaluation criteria to assess the effectiveness and continuing relevance of program deliverables, make recommendations and design improvements for programs.
  • Working closely with team members and contribute to developing Delivery and Assessment.
  • Strategies for all training mapped to nationally recognised training.
  • Contextualize and revise existing training materials and develop training resources to effectively support the delivery of training.
  • Contribute to relevant policies and procedures on training and development relating to SprayLine Road Services, including induction training schedules, relevant rosters and staff skills development as required.
  • The Training Lead has provided effective leadership, people management and support to their team. Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.
  • Promote and support safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.
