Traffic Engineer

Description:

You will be responsible for reviewing and providing comments on transport, traffic and parking related issues, assisting with the development and implementation of Traffic Management Plans and investigate the effectiveness of transport related projects.

This will be a temporary contract role for an initial 3 months, with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities And Experience For This Role
 

• Respond to customer enquiries related to traffic and parking management and general technical enquiries
• Assess and investigate customer enquiries
• Assist with development of traffic management plans
• Investigate the effectiveness of transport related projects
   

The ideal candidate will have:
 

• A degree in Civil Engineering, or relevant experience/qualifications
• Local government experience as well as knowledge and understanding of municipal traffic issues
• Ability to prepare and review Traffic Management Plans
• Sound communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to provide timely and professional advice
