Team Leader

Reporting into the head of HR you will be responsible for leading a newly created team known internally as Safe Station. This team has been developed to provide independent, compassionate, and human-centered responses to workplace complaints including allegations of bullying, and harassment, including sexual harassment, in the workplace

As the Team Leader of Safe Station you will have the opportunity to make a difference by supporting the organisation’s culture through building trust and confidence and ensuring all employee complaints, concerns and conflicts are received, assessed and referred to the appropriate area in an effective, timely and consistent manner. Safe Station will also provide confidential guidance and support to those involved in the complaint process.

This role will be responsible for further developing, leading, implementing and reviewing an enterprise-wide framework for employee complaints triage and resolution.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in contemporary HR leadership, ideally in workplace complaints and investigations.
  • A strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, to ensure compliance and best practice
  • Proven ability to provide empathy and care with well-developed interpersonal and team leadership skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Psychology, Social Work or Counselling, coupled with relevant experience (highly desirable)
  • Substantial knowledge of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma and stress-related disorders.
