Team Leader

Description:

The Employee Engagement Team at Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a new member as Team Leader. For this role, the incumbent will have excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills to drive the partner stewardship model with Work Integrated Learning (WIL) partners and lead a team that manage external stakeholder relationships. To be successful in this role, communication and interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach is key.

The Team Leader will drive the development of initiatives that establish, maintain, and strengthen the University’s WIL and employability relationships with business, industry, government and community partners. The role acts as an ambassador for the University by contributing to Swinburne’s objective in being a partner of choice for the industries and communities we serve, and actively contributes to Swinburne’s employability agenda.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Demonstrated experience in the tertiary education environment with particular emphasis on Work Integrated Learning or Employability initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategies which have effectively improved business processes, increased revenue or increased by-in from stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability and experience in external engagement including a sound knowledge of appropriate methods and practices.
• Demonstrated experience in management and leadership, directing and motivating a team of professional staff.
• High level written and oral communication skills.
