Position Information

Alstonville High School is a fully comprehensive school of 650 students, with 5% ATSI enrollment, 53 teaching and 13 non-teaching staff, located in the village of Alstonville, halfway between Lismore and Ballina, in the hinterland of the north coast of NSW. We work together to provide excellent and inclusive learning opportunities to support the growth and attainment of each of our students. We support our students' aspirations to grow into confident and creative citizens, resilient in the face of the breadth of challenges they will face throughout their lives. Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach PDHPE 7-12 and willingness to teach Community & Family Studies and Exploring Early Childhood.

2. Proven capacity to deliver engaging learning experiences that encourage our diverse range of students to develop their understanding of PDHPE, PASS and Child Studies.

3. Competency in the integration of technology and ICT into the PDHPE curriculum

4. Demonstrated skills in organisation and planning, including in relation to coaching and managing highly competitive sporting teams.

5. Willingness to contribute to a dynamic faculty with the capacity to build relationships across the school community.

6. Ability to demonstrate dedication, enthusiasm and high energy in professional practice

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
