TAFE NSW is looking for individuals with current industry experience and knowledge in Community Services or related areas to join our team of teachers.

The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

This position will be located at Albury Campus

You do not need a teaching qualification to apply for this role! Teaching Scholarships are available as we recognise that real experience is the most important aspect when appointing our teaching staff. We know that this experience, your creditability, and your story will have a positive impact.

  • Teach students face-to-face in classrooms and online
  • Support students 1:1
  • Issue, mark and provide feedback on assessments
  • Student administration, including marking registers and recording results
  • Maintain relationships with local industry and employers
  • Stay current with industry practice

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following essential requirements:

  • Hold a recognised Degree in any of the following Community Services areas; Social Work, Community Services/Welfare Work, Social Science, Youth Work, Alcohol and other Drugs, Mental Health and Counselling or other practice-based relevant community services discipline.
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, some of which has been gained no longer than 5 years previously.
  • Hold a Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent, or higher qualification in adult education (TAE Scholarship available)
  • Demonstrated preparedness to continue to develop your Vocational Education and Training (VET)
  • Have a demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment.
  • Have proven strengths in problem solving and change management
