The role of the TAFE Teacher as a professional educator is to?help, construct, guide?and?enhance?the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and?facilitates learning, enabling students to?achieve their desired outcomes. Be part of an organisation that makes a difference to people’s lives.

 

You are passionate about sharing your extensive industry experience in the field of Community Services. You have the ambition and drive to succeed and mentor students, passing on your experience and knowledge, and you have demonstrated experience in delivering training in an adult learning environment.
You have the drive and engagement to interact with a diverse range of students. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to share information with your peers and students face to face, and when required, via virtual learning platforms. You are a great team player who strives for success in all aspects of your day-to-day activities.

  • Recognised Degree in social science, social work, community development or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE 40116 or equivalent
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence
