Description:
The successful applicant should have high expectations, display a commitment to excellence, use a range of pedagogies and the ability to establish and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. They should have an excellent understanding of the Years 7 to 12 Japanese: Second Language WA Curriculum. They will ideally be flexible and adaptive teachers who can apply the strategies of differentiated instruction and explicit teaching.
The successful applicant should be committed to delivering excellent teaching practices, such as using Visible Learning frameworks and High Impact Instructional Strategies to maintain a positive classroom learning environment. The ideal applicant should possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school's values, ethos, and priorities across the school community.
We are seeking applicants who build positive relationships with students and are passionate about creating positive student futures. Teachers that are performance-driven and use evidence-based decision-making skills are highly desirable.
Our teachers are focused on creating outstanding outcomes for our students and the development of empowered learners. We work in a model that requires a high level of collaboration and agility. Teachers should be comfortable with co-planning and co-teaching and working on building collective efficacy. They should be either already highly engaged with evidence and research led teaching practice or possess a willingness to develop this.
