The Opportunity
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team for design, development, integrations and verification of next generation LIDAR products, so if you are looking for a fast-paced, dynamic role in a start-up we are keen to hear from you!
Inside the Job
- Develop the system requirements based upon and traced to the product/customer/standards/safety requirements for mechanical ,optical, electrical and software disciplines.
- Utilize the system architecture provided by the core team to verify that the system requirements are satisfied by the system architecture
- Work with customer at program initiation to analyse the customer requirements and to enter them into requirements application life cycle tool.
- Document system architecture in an unambiguous, clear, and understandable way that electrical, mechanical and software engineers know exactly what they must do to meet customer expectations.
- Create and maintain project documentation
- System requirements specification
- System architecture definition tailored to the specific project
- System test plan
- Generate test reports and system release reports

- Designing experiments and test cases to evaluate system performance.
- Integrating new designs/features, verifying performance, and providing feedback to the relevant design team.
- Evaluating test coverage and traceability of requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Work with Product Development and NPI teams to troubleshoot, investigate and identify performance/quality issues.
About You
- 5+ years’ experience in a system engineering role in regulated industry (automotive OEM or Tier1, medical, defence, other)
- Experience in automotive, sensors, or calibration, especially LiDAR.
- Experience with a requirements management system (e.g. Jama, IBM DOORS, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics/ Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent (Master's preferred
- Knowledge of Python for hardware automation and data analysis.
- Great communication skills, oral and written.
