About the Role

With a direct reporting line to the Manager: Planning and Analytics, you will play a key role in the management, analysis, and reporting of corporate and ad hoc surveys. Applying both quantitative and qualitative analytical approaches, the Survey and Reporting Analyst prepares presentations and written reports for senior management and governance groups across the University.

As an individual with demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, you will oversee a suite of surveys using your high level project and stakeholder management skills, to provide high quality information to support decision making at a senior level.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage the University’s corporate survey framework to meet organisational objectives using project management principles
  • Apply statistical skills and expertise to investigate, analyse, evaluate and report on quantitative and qualitative data
  • Utilise a variety of media to interpret and present to audiences at all levels, complex data and interpretive information.
  • Provide high level written reports and papers, including recommendations, to senior management and governance groups


Essential Skills and Experience

  • A degree with relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent experience and expertise
  • Demonstrated experience with survey design, administration, analysis, and reporting – including building and distributing online surveys
  • High level of knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design and analysis techniques and expertise in survey research
  • Proficiency in the use of analytical software to manage, manipulate and present data (e.g. Excel, SPSS and NVivo)
