About the role - As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, in collaboration with students, parents, teachers, leaders and allied health professionals, you will support students across the full range of abilities and needs, to meet specific learning needs. In particular you will:
- Have the ability to teach Religious Education.
- Design and implement inclusive and effective teaching and learning strategies to engage and improve education outcomes of supported students
- Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
- Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
- Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes aligned to The Alice Springs (Mparntwe) goals for young Australians
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
Qualifications
About you - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience and the ability to teach Religious Education as well as:
- A strong knowledge of inclusive education practices and a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in implementing Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs)
- An understanding of the NCCD process
- Involvement with BCE Strategies and practices which influence student progress and achievement
- An ability to oversee and deliver a range of mapping and planning functions to support inclusive education practices
- An ability to attend to innovative and creative teaching practices
- Proven capacity to work as part of a team
- Willingness to share knowledge and skills through professional development, consultation and advice
- Willingness to teach classes and be in classrooms modelling for others.
