Description:
Randstad is currently recruiting for a supply chain manager to work for one of our national manufacturing clients.
Ideally the successful candidate be responsible for monitoring and developing the supply chain strategy. You will be part of the senior management team and will have the ability to provide quality leadership and direction to the supply chain team.
Key responsibilities -
- Work with current suppliers in conjunction with the brand and procurement on cost savings and market trends.
- Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities relating to the sourcing and procurement of materials.
- Coordinate and direct supply and delivery of materials to meet timelines.
- Ensure minimum disruption to the network through effective supply chain management
- Maintain and review product fault from the database, while reporting daily to ensure sufficient stock coverage
- Promote all social and environmental responsibility whilst mitigating risks associated with modern slavery and unethical sourcing.
- Monitor key performance indicators
- Ensure product quality and service levels provided reflect approved supplier satisfaction and expectations are met
- Process product support requests
Experienced Required -
- Knowledge of the supply chain process in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable
- Previous experience in a logistics or procurement role is essential
- Strong excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or related fields highly regarded.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills is required
