The School seeks to appoint up to two fixed term Subject Coordinators to co-ordinate and teach the following subjects in the Media and Communications program:

MECM30015 Media and Communications Project

MECM90041 Political Economy of Digital Life

The Subject Coordinator reports to the Head of Program and is responsible for the coordination of teaching activities such as lectures, tutorials and/or seminars and the delivery of teaching for the subject in accordance with the Faculty’s Local Operating rules. You will be responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the delivery and assessment of the subject and the development of subject teaching materials.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct lectures, seminars/tutorials in the required mode (eg. online, on campus, blended) to a high standard
  • Undertake subject coordination duties including the development of LMS sites and subject guides, the management of assessment extension request and the selection and supervision of sessional tutors as required
  • Prepare assessments in accordance with subject guidelines in the University Handbook and coordinate assessment processes
