The position of Manager Strategic Finance and Procurement forms a part of the Corporate Services Group and Information Services Branch. Information Services (IS) oversees the delivery of ICT-related investments and services to DJPR. IS engages with the organisation to ensure ICT systems and services are appropriately designed, governed, and delivered. IS offers a range of end-user focused systems and services to the organisation both directly and through third-party providers and provides governance and assurance for systems and services delivered by other groups and agencies.

The Manager Strategic Finance and Procurement provides strategic financial analysis and advice to the Corporate Services IS (Information Services) Leadership Team, and leads a small team to deliver coordinated budgeting, financial management, reporting, and asset management across Corporate Services IS Branch.

The position provides expert advice in the fields of finance, and procurement to the IS Branch, and leads the financial relationship with Cenitex as a major supplier and other departments that are served by the IS branch.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Promote best practice financial governance across Corporate Services IS Branch
  • Identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • A member of the Information Services Branch leadership team
  • A solid understanding of charge back models to business
