As a subject matter expert, you will work as a key member of the APAC Early Careers team, together with our local and regional HR team, L&D and the partnership to deliver on our Australia graduate offering.
Key Responsibilities
- In collaboration with other members of the APAC Early Careers team, execute on the end-to-end recruitment and selection of our vacation clerks.
- Support all Early Careers recruitment and program events (virtual, in-house, and external) including careers fairs, and skills workshops, presenting and facilitating when required.
- Manage the vacation clerks based in Sydney, supporting their experience at the Firm and execution of in-person events and activities.
- Manage graduates across Sydney and Melbourne offices, including rotations every 6 months and evaluation processes and placement of graduates in permanent teams.
- Manage the graduate overseas seat program in collaboration with Global Mobility, HR Managers in local offices, and the London Early Careers team, regarding practice group availability and the terms and conditions of placements.
- Build strong relationships with graduates’ partners and supervisors to ensure an active role is played in graduate development and performance-related matters.
- Serving as a subject matter expert, provide insight and support to the partnership on a range of Early Careers recruitment and development topics and issues.
The Skills And Attributes We Are Looking For
- Genuine passion for early careers recruitment and development, you are ready to take the next step within a truly global organisation.
- 5+ years of experience in the delivery of end-to-end Early Careers recruitment and program management
- Knowledge of a professional services environment, ideally a law firm.
- Ability to travel regularly for the role to Melbourne.
- Excellent communication skills with a mature approach to sensitive issues.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to to influence key senior stakeholders to drive improvements and implement solutions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to quickly develop relationships with internal and external clients, such as the broader team, colleagues, and key partner stakeholders across multiple office locations.
- Collaborative with a consultative approach, with the ability to listen to and coach others.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Degree qualified.
