Solutions Architect

The Red Hat Canberra Sales team is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us in Canberra, Australia. In this role, you’ll represent Red Hat to operations, developers, and technical leads. You'll need to have direct experience with Red Hat's open source technology to gain credibility with them. You'll also need to be creative and motivated in promoting how Red Hat's portfolio can solve the problems government agencies regularly face. You'll gain practical experience with many cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes Cloud Native Security, service mesh, GitOps, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. You'll advocate for an often overlooked Kubernetes-first approach to cloud, on-premises, and hybrid computing using our leading Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform solution as your base. As a Solutions Architect, you will need to have excellent communication skills, have solid people skills, and be comfortable with representing Red Hat at events and technical forums to everyone from CIOs to user groups. Primary Job Responsibilities

• Build and own trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of their business, IT environments, and strategies; use this insight to appropriately propose Red Hat’s solutions
• Create and utilize existing technical content and demonstrations for publication that shows customers how to implement specific solutions or use new technologies
• Use education sessions, technology validations, and workshops to guide engaging conversations with customers that solve their issues and result in the successful adoption of Red Hat's offerings and solutions
• Research and write the responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposal (RFPs), and requests for quote (RFQs)

Required Skills

• Record of developing relationships at developer and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations
• Demonstrated communication and presentation skill
• Technical background with an understanding of infrastructure operations, agile development, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), DevSecOps, and associated capabilities

The Following Are Considered a Plus

• Understanding of automation, microservices, and containerization
• Understanding of and experience with public cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
• Industry certifications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Kubernetes
• Understanding of open source or contributing to open source projects
