Software Test Engineer

Description:

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. 

Responsibilities

• You will collaborate as a key member of a dynamic, agile team, working with the Product Owner and Stakeholders to understand requirements and verify the developed solution.

• Design and execute test cases, report on discovered defects and validate fixes.

• Extend existing automation suites (Test Complete, SoapUI and JMeter) with additional tests

• You will actively participate in Scrum processes with other team members including sprint planning and estimating; backlog refinement; daily Scrum meetings; sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews. 

Qualifications

• Your experience will include a solid track record of ‘hands on’ software testing in an agile environment, preferably working on commercial products.

• You can demonstrate technical skills, including the ability to understand and write functional automation scripting and SQL queries.

• Excellent communication skills, working with a broad range of people including Product Owners, Developers & Product Support across sites

• You have experience using Agile development methodologies and tools, proactively engaging in continual improvement processes within a team.

• Positive approach to technical problem solving with a ‘can do’ attitude in the face of challenges.
