Description:
Reporting to our Chief Technology Officer, as a Software Engineer at BizPay you will be passionate about working on breakthrough software products that positively help small to medium businesses financially at scale. Your day-to-day will involve helping us to set the bar for excellence in developing cutting edge solutions with strong design principles. You will be given the opportunity to work on exciting greenfield projects using a variety of technologies as we continue developing new products from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with the development team, Product team and UI/UX design specialists to deliver excellent software products in an agile environment
- Ensuring products are adequately developed, tested and are fit for purpose
- Aim towards continuous delivery, removing obstacles and identifying potential for delivery, business and process improvements
- Developing high production, scaleable quality code
- Developing resilient and secure database architecture that can perform sufficiently fast queries for AI researchers and product owners to retrieve relevant information
- Contribute to solution design in line with our overall technical roadmap and industry best practice
- Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines including those relating to information security
Requirements
- You’ll have previous experience in Software Engineering and Development;
- Solid experience in TypeScript and Python;
- Good experience using best practices such as Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipeline, Gitflow;
- Experience in cloud-native software development in AWS; and experience in containerisation
- Production experience in using Infrastructure-as-code
- You’ll be a self-starter who is detail-orientated and enjoys working in a fast-paced, agile greenfield environments
- Collaborative team player with good communication and stakeholder management skills
