Role Overview
- We are seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced candidate to support engineering activities associated with through life support contracts, in accordance with CAE’s engineering management system as well as engineering activities associated with upgrades and installations.
- We have a full time position available.
- The positions will be located in Homebush, Sydney and will report to the Development Engineering - Group Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a team of Software and Hardware Engineers demonstrating commitment to and understanding of the principles and practice of state-of-the-art software engineering, and apply this practice in accordance with project standards to develop working software.
- You will be required to work closely with client representatives as well as other Engineers, Technical Leaders and Project Managers.
- Software engineering tasks will include:
- Requirements,
- Design,
- Implementation Testing,
- Deployment,
- Customer Support,
- Configuration Management and
- Documentation.
- You will need to be familiar and comfortable with Systems Engineering principles: all work must be conducted in accordance with the processes defined for the project/activity.
Essential Qualifications And Experience

- Graduate degree in Engineering discipline (Computer Systems or similar).
- Eligible for membership to the Institute of Engineers (Australia).
- 0-3 years experience (entry-level).
- Experience in C/C++ programming languages
- Experience working with UNIX (or UNIX-type, such as AIX) Operating System, Windows Operating Systems, or other Operating Systems as applicable.
