Description:
Your role Software Engineer will provide the software development skills that will work with the wider team to deliver the strategy to upgrade, modernise and develop the core BSuite product, including a new integration platform, that supports the Technical Services business.
Key accountabilities –
- Analyse, consult, design, develop, and install technical solutions to support business objectives.
- Troubleshoot technical problems.
- Maintain awareness of releases and enhancement requirements and the impact these have on system maintenance.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of contemporary approaches, techniques, and technologies used in the building, deployment, and configuration of software and systems.
- Participate in workshops, stand ups, product demonstrations and retrospectives.
- Resolve incidents and requests assigned to the Software Installations queue and ensure all are actioned within the SLAs and are documented correctly within the system.
- Influence and operate as a genuine trusted advisor throughout technology (and the broader Group).
- Maintain and foster relationships with all Gaming Services stakeholders, including those throughout the business unit, across the organisation, and external suppliers and customers.
What you’ll bring
- Strong commercial experience in software engineering.
- Experience in cloud based Infrastructure (AWS)
- Skills in MySQL and PHP
- API integration - highly regarded but not essential.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- CI/CD
- Extensive understanding of the IT&T industry, as well as technology trends and related practices.
- Demonstrated experience in agile ways of working and the ability to drive adoption within a team.
- Experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships across business and technology teams.
- Experience in application development and support environment on large and complex systems.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Understanding of Field Services or Logistics would be an advantage.
