THE OPPORTUNITY:

Museums Victoria is seeking a Social Media Marketing Manager.

We are looking for an energetic, creative, social-media guru to join the marketing and brand team. This role will play a pivotal part in taking our social media platforms to the next level; delivering best-in-class strategies, tactics and campaigns across existing and new/emerging platforms in order to drive growth in engagement, visitation and revenue across the whole portfolio.

Core functions include:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies, tactics, guidelines and policies that help deliver on key business goals.
  • Work collaboratively with key organisational stakeholders and broader content contributors across Museums Victoria to support program, exhibition and content initiatives.
  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI using social media monitoring tools.
  • Administrate, generate, edit, publish and share engaging content across Museums Victoria multiple accounts and platforms.
  • Manage a team of community managers; nurturing the team to make the required improvements necessary to drive growth.
  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics in relation to specific social media objectives.

Relevant skills and attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering innovative Social Media strategies and tactics to achieve both growth and strong ROI.
  • Ability to build strong online communities through various social media platforms and mange crises when/as they occur.
  • Extensive experience tracking social media performance, using social media monitoring tools, and reporting on KPIs.
  • An in-depth understanding of social media advertising – comfortable in deploying and optimising ads across multiple accounts, platforms and formats
  • A broad digital understanding of the role social media plays in a broader digital ecosystem
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Relevant tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or possess equivalent experience in one or more of these fields will be highly regarded.

This role is a full-time, ongoing position. The salary on offer is $85,279 per annum (Base of grade) plus 10% superannuation.
