Social Learning Facilitator

 

Description:


This position will collaborate closely with teachers, allied health staff, and school personnel to identify students in need of social skills support. Responsibilities will include facilitating and coordinating 1-to-1 and small group social skills interventions utilising the 'Social Stencil Program'. In this position the responsibility will be to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of these programs, making adjustments as necessary, and regularly communicate with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and strategies for support at home. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and program outcomes will be essential, along with preparing regular reports for the School Principal and stakeholders.

 

Key Selection Criteria
 

  • Relevant qualifications as outlined in the Position Description.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of working with primary students. who have complex and diverse needs
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of individualised and flexible curriculum content, pedagogy, and trauma informed practice
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.

  • Valid and current Driver’s License
  • Valid and current VIT Registration or Working with Children Card
  • Valid and current NDIS Worker Check (for NDIS risk assessed roles)
  • Satisfactory criminal history check conducted by MacKillop Family Services
