The Corporate Service team within Sydney Metro supports the whole organisation including Operational and Project teams with best-in-class, Technology, People and Culture services, Financial Management and Communications functions. We partner closely with the business as well as with senior stakeholders, media and community groups and industry to drive performance, build relationships and manage our exemplary reputation.

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Manager, Industry, Jobs, and Skills to join us in the People and Culture team. In this role you will lead and implement strategies and programs which support Sydney Metro delivery partners and supply chain to deliver outcomes relating to local employment, skills development, Aboriginal participation, diversity and apprentices and trainees.
Working collaboratively providing expert advice and guidance ensuring a strategic and consistent approach to driving employment and workforce development initiatives in partnership with major contractors through the development and delivery of training and wider capacity building programs.

  • Drive the implementation and monitoring of the Sydney Metro Workforce Development, Industry and Aboriginal Participation plans and programs through collaborative partnerships with the broader social procurement team, delivery partners and their supply chain
  • Lead the delivery and coordination of client led programs and forums which increase industry awareness and support the employment and retention of a range of diversity groups, including Aboriginal Peoples, women, young people and new entrants to the industry
  • Develop and implement strategies and programs which support Sydney Metro delivery partners and supply chain to deliver outcomes relating to local employment, skills development, diversity and apprentices and trainees
  • Drive the implementation of initiatives which support the retention of a range of diversity groups and new entrants.
  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative management reports and case studies detailing outcomes relating to the Infrastructure Skills Legacy Program, Aboriginal procurement and wider state and federal government priorities
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders such as NSW and federal government agencies, Training Services NSW, Registered Training Organisations, Group Training Organisations, Employment Service Providers and Aboriginal organisations and other key stakeholders.
