Service Technician

Description:

We have a fulltime Service Technician position available in our in-house High Pressure Gas team. In this role you will provide servicing and inspection on the operation of High-Pressure equipment including Breathing Air Compressor Units and Breathing Apparatus.

From time to time, there may be a requirement for you to travel to the customer site as directed by your manager to assist the team with the coordination of servicing work.

This team is led by an experienced Manager who is committed to ensuring you succeed in the role.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

This is a hands-on position, and your duties include but are not limited to:

• Mechanical work on high pressure air systems and various mechanical equipment
• Routine inspection, survey and repairs of high pressure air systems
• Maintenance and servicing of customer and company equipment
• General mechanical/warehouse duties
• Compliance with customer & company policies and regulation
• Presenting a positive image of Survitec
• Ensuring all operations are conducted in a safe, efficient and effective manner
• Other duties as requested by your manager

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
• Attention to detail and excellent fault-finding ability
• Confidence in using a computer or other computer mobile devices
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A valid drivers licence
• A willingness to travel to meet customer servicing and repair requirements from time to time
• Permanent citizen of Australia to be eligible for security clearances
• Forklift licence essential
• Excellent reading and writing skills
• Ability to read, understand and act upon gas cylinder testing standards.
• Study Australian standards to take test and acquire test station signatory status to test gas cylinders
• Ability to drive 2.5 tonne truck, standard drivers licence required.
