Service Technicians are primarily responsible for the servicing and installation of our clients equipment (scrapers, trackers, ploughs and skirting) as well as general conveyor maintenance as required in the WA Mining and materials handling sectors.
In addition, present a professional image and service to clients and ensure all work is completed to a high standard.
- Servicing and maintenance of products and conveyor equipment
- Fabrication, repair or alteration of a variety of plant and equipment
- Work in a team to install scraper’s, tracker’s, ploughs, skirting and spray bars
- Identify and report site issues on site
- Conduct tasks on site in a manner that aligns with the clients and safety standards
- Provide Service checklists and FSRs
- Trouble shoot and identify technical problems with scraping systems, trackers, rollers, ploughs and other conveyor equipment, report accordingly and suggest solutions
- Resolve problems to ensure that the required results are achieved in a timely manner and to a high standard
Requirements
- Qualified Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter with welding competency or five years’ experience in mining industry working with conveyor cleaning systems and belt cleaning equipment
- Previous experience in mining industry working with conveyor cleaning systems and belt cleaning equipment
- Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work in and foster a team environment
- Strong client focus with the ability to influence key stakeholders
- Confined Spaces (2 Year validity)
- Working at Heights (2 Year validity)
- EWP- Elevated Work platform - 2 Year (desirable)
- First Aid (desirable)
