Service Centre Assistant

 

Description:

You will act as the first point of contact for all prospective and current students via phone, email and face to face communications, providing critical support and engagement outcomes for the University. As a member of the Service Centre team, you will act as part of the “front of house team” providing enquiry management for staff and visitors to UniSC Moreton Bay, through professional and meaningful communications.
Y*ou will*

  • effective management of student matters received via phone, email and face to face inquiries;
  • proactive referral of students to relevant specialist staff and follow up if required; and
  • establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and clients through professional communications and efficient use of electronic records systems.

Please note: there may be the requirement to undertake work during non-standard hours depending on the demands of the work area. Opportunities for recreational leave may also be restricted during peak periods. On occasion there may be a requirement to work from another UniSC campus location.

You possess excellent communication skills, with the capacity to show empathy, resolve conflicts and maintain confidentiality. Additionally, you enjoy working collaboratively with your internal and external stakeholders to build strong working relationships.

  • demonstrated experience and ability to recognise and respond appropriately to a range of student’s inquiries;
  • a high level of digital literacy including experience with CRM systems;
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative, develop effective solutions and attend to multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines; and
  • an understanding of the challenges that might arise supporting students in distress.
