As a trusted advisor to business leaders, the Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for delivering accurate, comprehensive, and timely tax advice. Your expertise will drive commercially viable and compliant solutions, with a particular emphasis on Indirect Tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end tax risk management and compliance for Indirect taxes.
- Set and update compliance requirements based on business processes and changing regulations.
- Ensure robust systems, processes, and controls for regulatory and customer tax obligations.
- Advise on Goods & Services Tax, Stamp Duty, Fringe Benefits Tax, payroll initiatives, and new product setups.
- Drive tax outcomes for new products and strategic developments, working autonomously and leading implementation.
- Engage with regulators, manage audit processes, and communicate tax positions clearly to stakeholders.
- Provide accurate and timely tax advice, manage compliance deliverables, and oversee integration of tax functions for acquisitions.
- Ensure tax models and calculators are effective and manage relevant returns and reporting.
Required Skills
- Practical experience with Australia’s Corporate & Indirect Tax laws for financial services.
- Knowledge of life insurance, funds management, custody, or superannuation is preferred.
- Understanding of ATO and State Revenue Authorities’ requirements.
- Ability to translate tax laws into practical system and process requirements.
