About The Role

Downer Professional Services has a key role for a Senior Systems Engineer position for a highly experienced and qualified individual with a track record in developing and managing Engineering Management Systems project. Your lead over technical reviews and design approvals will see you succeed working closely with a professional team and collaboratively with other stream leads and project delivery manager.

Skill And Experience Required

• Systems engineering lifecycle (AS/NZS/ISO/IEC 15288);
• Experience and knowledge in Engineering Management Systems;
• Experience in the development of IT systems;
• Software engineering knowledge and experience;
• Systems engineering in the Defence environment;
• Agile methodologies including Scrum;
• Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) management (desirable);
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams;
• Work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders;
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal;
• Strong Problem solving and resolution skills.

Tertiary Qualifications

• Degree qualification in engineering (software engineering preferred) or Information Technology (essential)
• Qualification in Systems Engineering or Project Management (desirable)
• Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or equivalent professional industry body recognition (desirable)

Eligibility: Due to the nature of the role and client requirements, applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold an active NV1 or higher level Australian Federal Government Security Clearance.
