🏠 THE ROLE - Senior Structural Engineer (Residential Houses)

Working closely with the principal, effectively as the 2IC, your expertise in producing detailed structurally engineered designs, supporting calculations, and technical reports, as well as signing off on work as required, will be pivotal in enabling the team of twelve to meet the needs of their customers and deliver as promised.

This is an office-based design role, with the expectation that you will visit sites and conduct progress inspections as needed to ensure that all projects align with design specifications and standards.

This role is ideal for a driven engineer with five or more years of experience who is working towards their chartership at the senior level or someone who is already operating at a senior level. It offers the opportunity to specialise in residential housing projects, including townhouses, medium-density subdivisions, and "mum & dad style," architecturally designed properties.

As a senior engineer, you will naturally be expected to liaise with builders, public sector organisations, and specialist consultants while assisting internally with training and mentoring juniors to help achieve the overall objective.

This position is well-suited to an engineer who is either already chartered or close to achieving NER/RPEQ, seeking to advance their career while gaining valuable insights and mentoring from a principal engineer with over 30 years of experience, including 20 years in managerial roles.
