Senior Software Engineer

Description:

In this role you will:

• You will work with the Product Owner, Stakeholders and the Scrum Team to understand, define and implement solution requirements for Citect SCADA including connectivity to other offers in the portfolio.

• Participate in Scrum meetings with other team members including sprint planning and estimating; backlog refinement; daily Scrum meetings; sprint retrospectives and sprint reviews.

• Ensure your code is fully reviewed, unit tested and documented and delivered to agreed quality standards.

• You will work with Global Customer Support (GCS) team to diagnose and resolve customer reported issues.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or computer science

• 7+ years of on-the-job experience as a Software Developer in a commercial software development environment

• Experience of working on highly scalable & highly available real time systems

• You have experience in C++, C# and .NET Framework, however some experience in WPF, HTML5 and TypeScript be also be beneficial.

• Familiarity with one scripting language (Powershell, Python, etc), and interest in Cloud and AI technologies is an advantage

• A quick learner and be able to think on your feet

• CI/CD Tools and Processes in Azure DevOps and experience with Visual Studio.

• Exceptional communication skills, working with a broad range of people, including Product Owners, Testers & Product Support across sites

• Able to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues

• Experience of using Agile methodologies
