Senior Software Engineer

As a key member of our Global R&D Team, you will be based in Camberwell, Melbourne and be instrumental in our business transformation to become AI-first. You will work on our recently launched AI-Based Real-Time, Predictive Telematics Platform - TN360, that uses a scalable cloud ecosystem to connect data from sensors, cameras, mobile and third-party applications into real-time insights.

What You will Do

To break it down, as a Senior Software Engineer you will:

• Assume technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process
• Code, test, and deploy new software products using a variety of technologies and platforms
• Work in Technical Chapters with team members based in worldwide locations, and participate in global & regional projects
• Maintain existing products, including bug fixes and feature enhancements
• Produce high quality technical designs and solutions that meet the needs of our customers
• Identify and help specify new products, sharing knowledge and information within the team
• Ensure clear technical documentation is completed
• Develop open interfaces for third party integration
• Promote and drive a passionate customer focused culture by ensuring a strong focus on delivery, execution and the customer

The technical skills we see as critical to succeed in this position:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field
• Software Development experience using Java
• Experience designing and implementing microservices architecture and using message queue engine or streaming platform (i.e. RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, Kinesis, etc)
