Description:
Zetron, a Codan company, looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to focus on one of the most competitive products in the industry. This position sits with our development team in Brisbane, Australia and will focus on system integration and product testing against requirements by building automation platforms, framework, automated tests, auto-reporting mechanisms, and simulators. Engage with the development team to apply Continuous Integration and Deployment methodology to our products. Significantly increase the coverage and robustness of automated test cases of our products. Aid in the design and development of test plans and test cases used to evaluate product performance and establish benchmarks. Drive the selection and adoption of automated test tools and frameworks as well as best practices.
The ideal candidate for the Senior SDET has the following qualifications:
- Strong design and coding skills using C# and/or C++
- Understand technical specifications, write test cases based on design specifications, and execute test cases
- Understand data structures and software engineering concepts
- Experience in Windows based development with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience in Linux scripting, DevOps processes and different test automation runs as part of pipeline
- Experience in any of the programming languages like Java, Perl, Ruby or Python is highly desirable
- Have written detailed test reports and defect reports for Sr. Leadership as well as team
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on test assignments and in a cross functional environment with Product Managers, Dev Leads, Dev Director and Field Engineers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey information clearly and accurately
- Advanced knowledge of systems analysis, design, development process and management
- Strong analytical skills with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt and respond positively and effectively to change, delay, and/or shifting priorities and goals
- A high degree of self-motivation and initiative
- Have led a team of engineers is a plus
- Land, Mobile Radio experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum ten (10) years of product testing/enterprise software testing experience in a high-tech environment
- Minimum five (5) years of SDET work experience including hands on coding experience
- Experience in HW/SW System Development or Test, or in designing Telecom, Radio or Network communication systems preferred
- IP network/VoIP experience preferred
- Agile process experience preferred
- Or any combination of education and experience that provides same expertise
