Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer is the backbone of our technology and engineering teams here in our nib Travel team. In this role, you will be providing thought leadership on how best to maximise the use of bespoke software so that nib Travel technologies are built in a maintainable, effective and fit-for-purpose way.

Furthermore, you will also:

• Be responsible for the analysis, design, development and support of applications

• Be the go-to expert by demonstrating an architectural mindset and a high level of knowledge in software development

• Coordinate production support and production release with other relevant IT departments

• Advocate for good software engineering practices e.g. automated testing, continuous improvements and continuous delivery

• Mentor and coach less experienced developers

Let’s talk about you

With demonstrated experience working in a similar role, you will also have experience working in a cloud native environment (we use AWS here!). In addition, some other skills and experience that will set you up for success in this role include:

• Extensive commercial experience developing solutions in C#/.NET technologies

• Experience in web frameworks e.g. ASP.NET Web API

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server

• Degree or qualification in relevant IT discipline

• Ability to take ownership, prioritise and meet deadlines

• Willingness to teach others and is also keen to learn
