About The Role

Role Locations: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 or 242 Pitt Street, Sydney, 2000

Role Type: Fixed Term Contract, Full-time

A key element of the role involves preparing Committee papers, on behalf of Retail Credit Risk, for the Credit and Markets Risk Committee and the Australia Retail and Commercial Credit Risk Committee. You will also contribute to other forums including but not limited to the Board Risk Committee and Group Performance and Execution Committee. This requires familiarity with Credit Risk and the Credit Risk lifecycle, and an ability to source, validate and explain appropriate data and information, with the assistance of the broader Retail Credit Risk team.

You will also be responsible for Controllership functions within Retail Credit Risk. This will encompasses producing reports, analytical reconciliation work, and developing monitoring of business adherence to the Retail Credit Loss policy. You will be working closely with Collections Credit Risk, Operations, Group Risk and Finance to ensure loss figures are correct, understood and booked accurately, and relevant data is produced and utilised for detailed insights into the composition of losses.

Additionally, ad hoc analytical work may be required across Retail Credit lifecycle components to support Regulatory Reporting, Management reporting, and delinquency and loss forecasting activities within the Retail Risk Planning and Controllership team.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in common data and data science toolkits, such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, with good scripting and programming skills
  • Outstanding written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical information simply
  • Able to communicate clearly and succinctly to senior executives
  • Inquisitive approach to ensuring the veracity of information via strong analytical, numerical, research and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in credit risk, data and reporting, consumer banking, Collections and/or Finance
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines
