Corporate Bank is a vibrant and fast-paced business. We manage relationships with customers in the middle market segment which are often large private family groups, ASX small caps and professional service companies many of which ANZ has had a very long term relationship with.

There are two key parts of the role: 1.Developing new connections and / or using your existing connections to originate new to bank business; and 2. Maintaining and growing your existing customer base. This is done by cultivating a close relationship to understand of the needs of your customers and effectively implementing banking solutions to support their business objectives.

Financial outcomes are an important part of this role and success in this area is predicated on a range of skills. To be successful, you will need to enjoy, have skills in and / or the ability to develop the following:

• Genuine enjoyment working with people, inquisitive approach, building on existing relationships and meeting new people through networking
• Self-awareness and listening skills and an ability to flex leadership and communication styles to be effective with a range of people in different situations
• Credit analysis and structuring skills including an ability to make sound decisions and talk confidently in front of customers regarding bank appetite
• Stake-holder management skills, an ability to prioritise multiple tasks and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment
• Resilience in the face of challenge and pressure, high levels of motivation and an ability to motivate others through all situations

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Whilst prior frontline relationship management experience is well-regarded, it is not mandatory to be considered.
• You are not expected to have 100% of the key skills however you will need to clearly articulate your ability to grow into the role.
