Senior Project Coordinator

We have an opportunity for a Senior Project Coordinator to join our Melbourne team. Reporting to the Project Manager, this is a key role on the construction delivery team. You will manage the coordination of development of scopes of work through the procurement process and the onsite management of packages of work with a focus on design, delivery against program with a focus on safety and quality.

About you

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in managing packages of work on Commercial projects. You can build influential working relationships and engage positively at all levels, including the team, subcontractors, consultants, and clients. This role also provides leadership to learning employees including Graduates and Project Coordinators, with an aim to build their capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Working with the commercial team to support the procurement process for packages by developing scopes of work.
• Demonstrated experience of working on relevant projects and managing packages of work from procurement through to completion, in line with program, budget, safety, and quality requirements.
• Demonstrated experience of working collaboratively with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress in line with the program, and ensuring issues and solutions are raised early.
• Ability to proactively resolve design issues with the design team and the consultants.
• Provide critical input throughout the handover and commissioning phase for the project.
• Prepare detailed and accurate project reporting for stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of design drawings and technical specifications.
• Professional, strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Effective time management skills, including sequencing of work and resource management.
