Senior Program Manager

The Power Projects Team is experiencing significant growth, presenting an exciting opportunity for you to join/step up as a Senior Program Manager. You will lead and oversee our dynamic Power Projects portfolio in our Milton, Brisbane office. Your role will entail delivering essential HV Substation and BESS projects, guiding and mentoring delivery teams, and ensuring the safe, cost-effective, and high-quality construction of HV infrastructure. You will be responsible for meeting client requirements, achieving KPIs, and hitting financial targets within Downer's delivery model framework.

Reporting to the Program Director, you will lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, including Program Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, and other technical and support staff.

Some Of The Key Responsibilities Include:
 

• People Management: Provide coaching and leadership and maintain effective communication channels with direct and indirect reports.
• Program Management: Ensure the timely execution of all projects, profitability and work quality as per contractual obligations and key performance indicators.
• Zero Harm: Provide leadership in Zero Harm to ensure a safe workplace across all Substations and BESS Program.
• Financial Management: Monitor revenues and expenditures in operations and projects to ensure the attainment of profit objectives.
• Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with Downer partners and key clients throughout all project phases, from new business to handover, utilising a positive and proactive approach.
   

ABOUT YOU
 

• Tertiary qualifications in Project Management and/or Engineering are essential. In addition, CPPD or equivalent certification or higher is also necessary.
• Significant experience managing HV/LV Electrical transmission and distribution network design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning is required.
