Description:
We are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join the Coal Customer team. The role is to provide commercial thought leadership and analytical support to inform negotiations with our Customers. The aim is to preserve and enhance Aurizon’s commercial position by:
- Partnering with the Coal Customers team to develop commercial mechanisms for new business proposals or recontracting of existing commercial agreements.
- Providing relevant and meaningful analysis to support commercial business decisions and revenue contract negotiations.
- Forecasting business or proposal performance using financial models.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
- High level of skill in complex financial and operational models including costing and pricing or statistical analysis and methodologies.
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Substantial level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work as part of a focussed team under tight timeframes.
- Comfortable interpreting and presenting complex commercial and financial information to a variety of stakeholders within the organisation.
- Rail, logistics or mining industry experience will be valuable.
