Your Responsibilities Will Include

Workday System Management
 

  • Managing all employee cycle processes through Workday; this is not limited to onboarding, position, remuneration and contract changes.
  • Ownership and maintenance of accurate employee records and data integrity in Workday, including personal data and employee entitlements.
  • Production of employment documentation, including contracts and letters reflecting transfers, promotions, compensation changes and ad hoc requests.
     

Industrial Award and Employee Relations Support
 

  • Interpreting relevant policies, industrial instruments and legislation to provide timely and pragmatic advice and operational support to internal stakeholders on a broad range of P&C topics, often being a first point of contact.
  • Advising leaders on employee relations matters, including performance management, probation management and organisational change.
  • Support the implementation of enterprise agreements and roll-out of new allowances/entitlements for clinical groups in association with the Industrial Relations team.
  • Facilitating the monthly casual conversion review process, liaising with leaders to determine if the eligibility criteria has been met, drafting confirmation paperwork, and initiating Workday actions.
     

Recognition & Reward Process Support
 

  • Assisting with the coordination of the merit review process for monthly and fortnightly paid employees, including collecting data, verifying data with Payroll and P&C Systems, drafting and distributing paperwork.
  • Liaising with team leaders and the Operations Manager following the merit review process to discuss employee feedback and assist with follow-up actions to facilitate retention.
  • Updating internal pay structures to reflect annual increases to minimum Award rates and ensuring compliance.
     

Report Generation, Audit + Analysis
 

  • Conducting audits of employee entitlements to ensure alignment with the relevant industrial instrument.
  • Undertaking a monthly visa audit to check work rights of employees in association with Global Mobility.
  • Responsible for P&C reporting, including maximum-term end date reporting, visa end date report, parental leave end date reporting.
     

People & Culture Projects
 

  • Overseeing the new employee onboarding process.
  • Ownership of parental leave process for EBA, Award and non-award staff, including review and verification of entitlements, processing of leave and associated document generation.
  • Actively participating in wider P&C projects to ensure successful delivery, and identifying process improvements.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to advise on industrial instrument coverage, entitlements, position information and remuneration.

  • Previous experience within a P&C Shared Services function as an Advisor.
  • Workday HRIS experience is advantageous.
  • EBA & Award interpretation experience.
  • HR degree or equivalent.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to understand, interpret and analyse data, including legislation, regulations, awards, industrial agreements, policies and procedures.
  • Well-developed industrial relations skills and sound knowledge of employment law.
  • Knowledge of how to apply contemporary P&C procedures and practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and to develop strong, positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, promote, and uphold P&C initiatives and values, including discretion and confidentiality.
