We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist who is committed to improving the lives of people with a disability to join our allied heath team.

The Senior Occupational Therapist works alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical Occupational Therapy services to clients using advanced clinical practice skills. They will practice as a Senior Occupational Therapist and ensure practices are in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia Code of Ethics and SJGHC policies and guidelines.

The Senior Occupational Therapist is also a clinical expert who is responsible for leadership within the discipline and clinical specialty.

Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA. Previous experience with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) system as well as experience working with disability across the lifespan is desirable but not essential.

This position is available on a twelve (12) month full time contract (part time hours may be negotiated), located in Greensborough with some travel across the metropolitan area.

• A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated extensive and advanced clinical experience in Occupational Therapy across a range of complex clinical specialities including in the management of clients within a disability service setting.
• Demonstrable ability to develop highly performing teams.
• Demonstrated experience in the initiation, design and implementation of research and quality improvement activities.
• Current drivers licence.
• Accord - require evidence of First Aid and CPR certification.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (including ability to communicate using technology).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
