About the role:
Government agency requires an experienced Senior Marketing Adviser for a 3 years fixed term contract to manage marketing, branding, promotion and advocacy campaigns and activities. You will be experienced in managing the end-to-end delivery of marketing initiatives.
As the Senior Marketing Adviser, you will manage one direct report to deliver on key marketing activities including support for the execution of advertising and marketing campaigns and community engagement requirements
Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and delivering marketing campaigns and communications including concept evaluation, overseeing production, media implementation and campaign evaluation.
- Supporting the scope, design and coordination of ongoing marketing, branding and customer engagement activities.
- Providing advice to internal stakeholders in communicating correct and accurate customer information including signage, in a timely manner using a variety of channels to improve the customer experience for transport users affected by the project.
- Maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships and improve understanding of marketing initiatives and branding requirements with their view/input gathered as required.
- Proactively identifying and implementing innovative marketing and communication solutions and improvements.
- Developing and implementing proactive marketing strategies to promote projects including the development of information hubs.
- Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with external suppliers to ensure the efficient delivery of marketing solutions.
Experience and Skills:
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:
- 4+ years' experience in a similar Marketing campaigns and activation role within a government or media agency environment
- Proven ability to proactively deliver multiple marketing campaigns and activations in an organised, structured and integrated manner.
- Demonstrated successful experience working on multiple marketing campaigns with different media buys, in an organised and structured way, with an outcome of changed consumer behaviour and attitudes.
- Extensive experience managing media buy and budgets, including managing media and advertising agencies.
- Ability to think creatively with a keen eye to applying innovation to marketing principals.
- Excellent understanding and awareness of key marketing practices and government standards.
- An understanding of Victorian public transport system and political environment.
- Ability to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders and internal divisions to secure agreed solutions. Good communication skills to clearly explain marketing approaches and concepts to non-expert audiences.
Qualification:
- Tertiary level qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Previous government marketing experience will be highly regarded
