Ambulance Victoria occupies a unique role in the state's public health and emergency services systems. Every day, thousands of Victorians call Triple Zero (000) in a health emergency. Reporting to the Director Communication – Employee and Digital, the responsibilities of this position include:
- Lead a strategic communications program linked to one of Ambulance Victoria's major strategic priorities – an organisation-wide program of equality and workplace reform to build a safe, fair and inclusive workplace.
- Provide high level, strategic direction and advice to executive directors and senior leaders across the organisation.
- Influence and build communication capability and impact of the Equality and Workforce Reform Division, including facilitating peer involvement in communications and engagement initiatives and services.
- Influence, inspire and engage employees, and other stakeholders as required, on the reform program and initiatives.
- Lead division, program and project communications and engagement implementation to ensure effective delivery to meet business needs
- A post graduate degree or relevant industry certification.
- Extensive experience in a relevant discipline (communication, public relations, change management, marketing).
- High level relevant experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies, programs, policies and projects across a range of multi-disciplinary functions.
- Knowledge and understanding of best practice strategic communication approaches and behaviour change programs and strategies.
- Experience and career success in developing and implementing communications strategies and activities (internal and external) to engage and inspire dispersed workforces in large complex organisations, and external stakeholders as required.
- Demonstrated excellent communication, analytical and creative writing skills and the ability to produce compelling content.
- Skills in tracking and measuring digital and traditional channels for impact and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, relationship, and program and project management skills, acquired in fast-paced, dynamic work environments.
- Proven sound judgement and ethical behaviour in making and influencing quality decisions.
